The Arizona Western College baseball team (17-14) split their final two games of the Aztec Classic in Tucson by beating 12th ranked New Mexico (22-2-1) 10-6 then losing to 6th ranked Indian Hills (5-0) later in the day 1-0.
AWC head coach John Stratton stated, “I was pretty pleased on the day. Those are two quality, nationally ranked programs. We took it to New Mexico, and then to have a 1-0 decision between us and that Indian Hills team means we were playing good baseball.” AWC’s Next Game: vs. Chandler-Gilbert Tuesday Noon (Kammann Field-AWC Campus) |
